Hmph! My mom had seven sisters. All of them drank a hot toddy around the holidays (some probably year-round) but I had no idea what was in it - till just now! Never occurred to me to ask. I thought it was an "old person's drink" - I probably will never drink one for that reason alone!
Wow! Great recipe for a hot Toddy. They aren't really an old person's drink! No no, they are a time-honored tradition handed down from Colonial times. Also nice is hot butterred rum, also served in a giant mug:)
