Guacamole

From the California Avacado Commission        

          Ingredients

  • 4 avocados, seeded and peeled
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3 to 4 drops hot pepper sauce
  • Tortilla chips
                         Preparation
  • Using a fork, coarsely mash avocado with lemon juice and garlic.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients to blend.
  • Garnish as desired and serve with tortilla chips.

 

Perfect with Margaritas

This recipe makes a single serving

1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce triple sec
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 ice cubes

Rub the rim of the glass with lime juice, then dip the rim into coarse or kosher salt. Fill the glass with the ingredients listed above.
