A is for Appetizers

It's Food Friday! Woot!

Time for a generous helping of...

Toasted Almond Crab Spread

1 8oz pkg. cream cheese, softened

1&1/2 C. (6 oz.) shredded swiss cheese

1/3 C. sour cream

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

1/8 tsp. pepper

1 can (6oz.) crabmeat, drained, flaked, and cartilage removed, OR 1/2 C. fresh crabmeat, OR 1/3 C. imitation crab meat

3 Tbs. finely chopped green onions, divided

1/3 C. sliced almonds, toasted

Assorted crackers

In a mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients.  Stir in crab and 2 Tbs. onions.  Spread into ungreased 9 inch pie plate.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes,or until heated through. (Can be microwaved).  Sprinkle with almonds and remaining onions.  Serve with crackers.  This makes 2 cups of dip.
