Woo Hoo!  I knew if I waited long enough that either Spring would come or a miracle would happen, and I was right!  One of my neighbors shovelled my front walk and my driveway today.

Sometimes it pays to act helpless!

I'm gonna try this in the summer now.  I wonder how long my grass will get before someone comes to my rescue?!

IF you have my neighbors ... NEVER! Last summer we went several weeks without mowing due to no working lawn mower. No one touched or offered to help. Finally a young kid came and offered to mow it for $10 ... I paid him!!!

I am reminded of the time I had cancer and my first husband came to the hospital and said he couldn't go through this. (I never saw him again until divorce court) Well, he took the lawn mower with him when he left. My lawn got three feet high and a zillion crickets made it their home. Not a sincle neighbor offered to help and after a while, I liked the tall grass and at night, the sound of the crickets made me feel less alone.
